A tragic incident unfolded on Dihi Shrirampur Road in Beniyapukur, Kolkata, as a father reportedly killed his 23-year-old son. The accused, identified as Ramesh Thapa, allegedly had a confrontation with his son, Roshan Thapa, upon his late return home. Police sources suggest that the altercation escalated into a physical altercation, during which Ramesh purportedly attacked Roshan with a knife. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Roshan succumbed to his injuries, with doctors pronouncing him dead upon arrival. The incident occurred around 8:30 PM on Tuesday night.

Initial investigations reveal that Ramesh was in an intoxicated state at the time of the altercation. Local sources indicate that Roshan had a history of addiction to Dendrite. It is alleged that following the dispute, Ramesh inflicted a knife wound on Roshan's left thigh.
